Methaplanet, an innovative scale-up focused on preparing and optimizing agricultural waste streams to enhance their utilization in biogas plants, has completed a €6M investment round led by ABP, with backing from EIT InnoEnergy and business angels. Methaplanet makes energy pellets from manure that contains a lot of straw, which can be used to produce biogas more efficiently. Olym advised lead investor ABP on this investment round.

Eindhoven-based TIBO Energy, a company that manages network congestion, saves energy costs and reduces emissions with smart grid management, has secured €3M in a seed round of funding, to expand its team and venture into international markets. The investment was led by Amsterdam-based SET Ventures, with contributions from Speedinvest and TIBO Energy’s founding team members. Wij adviseerden SET Ventures bij deze investering.

Helin, an industrial edge intelligence platform, has closed a €3 million seed funding round led by FORWARD.one. The fresh capital infusion will primarily be allocated towards expanding Helin’s commercial and development teams, and further enhancing its state-of-the-art industrial edge intelligence SaaS platform. We advised FORWARD.one on this investment.

Amsterdam-based Farmless, a startup that aims to turn renewable energy and CO2 into carbon-negative food ingredients, has secured €4.8M in a seed round of funding. The investment was co-led by World Fund and Vorwerk Ventures. Farmless, which is crafting eco-friendly, functional proteins with a full amino acid profile, plans to use the proceeds for constructing a pilot protein brewery in Amsterdam. The funds will also support the development of Farmless’ fermentation platform and facilitate ongoing regulatory approval processes. We advised World Fund and Vorwerk Ventures on this investment.

Synerkine Pharma, a Dutch biopharmaceutical company creating innovative pain solutions, has closed an extension of its Series A financing led by Flerie with support from new investors, InnovationQuarter and Utrecht Health Seed Fund, and existing investor Thuja Capital. The equity financing is accompanied by a matching innovation credit from Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend (RVO) Nederland – the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. The total new proceeds of EUR 12.1 million will be used to accelerate the development of Synerkine Pharma’s lead asset SK-01, a therapeutically active cytokine fusion protein, into clinical studies in complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), a severe chronic pain indication.
